Automation Compatibility
Confirm that the kit supplier provides automation scripts for your specific platform. The Zymo Research Quick-DNA/RNA Viral MagBead kit and Thermo Fisher MagMAX-96 both offer downloadable instrument scripts for Tecan and Hamilton systems. Small RNA Retention

gDNA Removal
Confirm whether the kit includes on-bead DNase I or requires a separate gDNA digestion step. For RT-qPCR and RNA-seq, omitting DNase treatment introduces a genomic DNA signal that inflates expression measurements.
