Gigaprep kits are alkaline-lysis-based plasmid purification systems scaled for bacterial cultures of 1-2.5 L, yielding 10-25 mg of plasmid DNA per preparation. Purification Chemistry

Anion-exchange resin kits (gravity-flow or vacuum column) use charged resin to bind nucleic acids and separate plasmid from chromosomal DNA, RNA, and endotoxin by salt gradient.
