The Spark Timer by United Scientific measures the velocity and acceleration of falling or moving objects by burning evenly timed spark dots into paper tape. The farther apart the dots, the faster the object. It is supplied with spark tape, carbon discs, a weight, a clamp, and an activity guide, ready for free-fall and kinematics labs in high school and introductory physics.
