ZR Soil/Fecal RNA MicroPrep (50 Preps.)

R2040 by Zymo Research is the ZR Soil/Fecal RNA MicroPrep Kit, a 50-prep RNA extraction system for up to 250 mg of soil, sludge, sediment, or fecal material. The kit recovers total RNA ≥17 nucleotides — including small RNAs and miRNAs — at up to 10 µg per column, with a standard 15 µl elution volume (minimum 6 µl for concentrated samples) and A₂₆₀/A₂₈₀ >1.8 purity. All components are stored at room temperature.

The kit includes ZR BashingBead Lysis Tubes (0.1 & 0.5 mm bead mix) and an HRC filtration step that removes PCR inhibitors including humic acids, polyphenols, and tannins from complex environmental matrices. Suitable for next-generation sequencing, RT-PCR, qPCR, and microarray.
