ZR BashingBead Lysis/Filtration Tubes

S6010 by Zymo Research is the ZR BashingBead Lysis/Filtration Tube with 0.5 mm beads, a 25-pack of 50 mL impact-resistant polypropylene tubes that combine bead-beating lysis and silica-based nucleic acid capture in a single vessel. The integrated silica filtration matrix binds 5–10 µg of nucleic acid; minimum elution volume is ≥6 µl. Compatible bead beaters include the Bullet Blender (9 tubes per run), FastPrep-24 (40-second processing), and Geno/Grinder 2010 (12 tubes per run).

The 0.5 mm beads are optimized for disruption of bacteria, fungi, and yeast. For tissue homogenization, use the S6011 (2.0 mm beads). No organic denaturants or proteinases are required.
