R2140 by Zymo Research is the Quick-DNA/RNA&trade; Viral MagBead kit, a 250-prep magnetic bead system that simultaneously isolates DNA and RNA from up to 200 &micro;l of plasma, serum, urine, saliva, whole blood, cell culture media, or swab samples. Elution volume is 30 &micro;l (standard); binding capacity is 5 &micro;g DNA/RNA per 10 &micro;l of MagBinding Beads. Size range is 50 nucleotides to ~200 kb. All steps run at room temperature.
