The Lung Apparatus by United Scientific is a classroom demonstration of how the diaphragm drives breathing. Two balloons act as the lungs and a rubber sheet acts as the diaphragm in a sealed chamber similar to the chest cavity: pulling the sheet down inflates the balloons and releasing it deflates them. Science teachers use it for respiratory system lessons and to illustrate pressure and volume changes.
