The Low Temperature Difference Stirling Engine by United Scientific is a thermodynamics demonstration engine that runs on the small temperature difference between room temperature and a cup of hot water or ice. It illustrates the conversion of heat energy into mechanical work through a thermodynamic cycle and runs at about 150 rpm on hot water. No flame is needed. It comes with an activity guide for physics and engineering classrooms.
