The Graphite Crystal Model by United Scientific is a ball-and-spoke model of the graphite crystal form of carbon, permanently mounted on a clear hexagonal acrylic base. Its 39 balls, each 22 mm in diameter, clearly show the layered structure in a model 27 cm tall. Chemistry and materials science teachers use it to explain carbon allotropes and how structure affects properties.
