Friction Apparatus, 1 Each

The Friction Apparatus by United Scientific is a classroom set for measuring sliding friction. A 4 in x 1.5 in x 1 in pine friction block with a hook and three weight compartments slides on a 20 in x 2 in pine friction board. The set includes three 50 g weights, a 100 g spring scale and an activity guide, so students can vary load and contact area and calculate the coefficient of friction.
