United Scientific® Convection Of Gases Apparatus by United Scientific is a classroom demonstration of convection currents in air. A 22 x 10 x 11 cm metal box with a clear acrylic front panel holds two glass chimneys and a candle, while a cotton-filled wick supplies smoke that shows the air flow. An activity guide is included. Physics, physical science, and earth science teachers use it to show how warm air rises and cooler air moves in to replace it.
