The United Scientific® Consistometer by United Scientific is a polished stainless steel instrument that measures the consistency and flow rate of viscous samples by how far they travel in a timed interval. Its spring-loaded gate holds about 75 mL and releases instantly, the trough has engraved 0.5 cm increments, and two leveling screws with a spirit level aid setup. Food, paint, and chemical QC labs use it for batch comparisons.
