Centripetal Force Kit, 1 Each

The Centripetal Force Kit by United Scientific is a hands-on kit for investigating the force on an object in circular motion. Students whirl a rubber stopper on a 1 m cord through a beveled plastic tube while a hanging mass set of 12 aluminum weights and a 50 g hanger supplies the central force. It shows how path radius, velocity and force are related and correlates to NGSS MS-PS2-5, HS-PS2-1 and HS-PS2-4.
