Specifications
Description | This miniprep column kit utilizes the silica spin filter to purify plasmid DNA. It is the easiest method for isolation of plasmid DNA and produces high-yield plasmid DNA of automated sequence quality. It is the most widely used method in modern molecular biology laboratories. All necessary tubes are supplied. The recovered plasmid DNA has a 1.8-2.0 OD260/280 ratio and is ready for automated sequencing, restriction digestion, or other downstream applications. The purified plasmid DNA is primarily in the supercoiled form. Equipment Required:

Applications | Purification and isolation of plasmid DNA, up to 40kb from bacterial cultures and cells to be used in any downstream applications, such as sequencing, PCR, transformation or restriction digestions. |
Storage Condition | Store most components of the kit at room temperature, with the exception of RNase A. Kits can be stored for up to 24 months without showing any reduction in performance and quality. RNase A stock solution can be stored for 2 years at 4°C. After addition of RNase A, Solution I is stable for 6 months at 4°C. |

Is it possible to use frozen blood sample with this kit?
Frozen blood samples have not yet been tested with this kit, however this should not be a problem.
What is the TE buffer used for?
The TE buffer is optional and is included because some prefer to use TE for elution. TE buffer can be used instead of elution buffer if needed.
