Aspirating pipettes, unlike open-end and bacteriological pipettes, are completely transparent and lack gradations. They are used in a wide range of applications, such as vacuum or pipettor aspiration procedures, and are designed for the transfer and mixing of liquids. These single-use polystyrene pipettes are non-pyrogenic and unplugged, making them a safer alternative to glass Pasteur pipettes. To prevent contamination, these aspirating pipettes are individually wrapped in thermoformed plastic/paper peel. These pipettes have a sterility assurance level (SAL) of 10-6 after being gamma irradiated.

Benefits Of Aspirating Pipettes

Aspirating pipettes from 2ml to 50ml are found commonly in all labs. They are specially designed to facilitate fluid transfer and mixing for a variety of applications such as vacuum or pipettes aspiration processes. Performing an experiment would get a lot difficult if one has to transfer liquids directly. It not only increases the chances of contamination but also reduces control and precision. This is why aspirating pipettes hold such great importance.

These non-plugged polystyrene pipettes, like other pipettes, are suitable for single-use and are non-pyrogenic. To prevent contamination, they are wrapped in thermoformed plastic. They are also gamma-irradiated and adhere to the Sterility Assurance Level (SAL).
